OverviewThe Director of Distribution and Logistics at Sequel Med
Tech will play a pivotal role in managing the supply chain,
ensuring the efficient distribution of our products within the US
and EU markets. This key leadership position requires a highly
organized, functional expert, detail-oriented and strategic
individual who will be responsible for overseeing the inbound
logistics of all manufactured and procured components,
consolidation of manufactured and kitted products for distribution,
the various kitting and distribution entities and managing the
finished goods distribution in close conjunction with internal and
external stakeholders.Core aspects of the role:
- Hands-on leader with proven experience with grass roots
logistics and working with freight providers, kitting operators,
TPM's and 3PL's.
- Proven experience managing third party managed logistics.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and tactical (e.g., establish
load tendering), as well as strategic (e.g., strategic supplier
relationship management and channel specific logistics
strategies).
- Experience with healthcare and medical devices is essential.
Experience with Oracle ERP systems such as Netsuite preferred.
- A true collaborator and influencer. Comfortable working within
a fast-paced start-up environment. A mindful leader who advocates
and practices fact-based decision making and drives a sense of
urgency.
- Self-starter and comfortable being an individual contributor
before having a team.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Inbound Logistics Ownership: Responsible for overseeing and
optimizing the inbound logistics of all manufactured and procured
components to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Consolidation for Distribution: Manage the consolidation of
manufactured and kitted products for efficient distribution to
targeted markets.
- Distribution Management: Oversee the distribution of finished
goods within the US and EU markets, ensuring timely and accurate
delivery to meet customer demands.
- Account Management: Act as the primary contact and account lead
for third-party logistics providers (3PL) and both in-house and
external logistic entities.
- Budget Management: Ownership of the freight budget, ensuring
cost-effective transportation and logistics operations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with customer
service, commercial teams (both in-house and external), and other
relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth order fulfillment and
customer satisfaction.
- Performance Metrics and Compliance: Drive adherence to freight
budget and key metric compliance, including OTIF (On Time In Full),
order and pick accuracy, damage control, documentation compliance,
and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Program Delivery and Accountability: Accountable for delivering
all distribution and logistics-related programs, including
initiatives for margin improvement and successful new product
launches.Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a
related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of Logistics experience across various functions and
echelons is required, with 2+ years of experience in a similar
leadership role within the medical device or healthcare
industry.
- Ability to travel up to 30% to the various sites and
entities.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, distribution,
and logistics best practices.
- Proven experience in managing 3PL relationships and logistics
operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership
skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and
decision-making.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the healthcare
sector.
- Ability to work regularly in the Manchester, NH office - the
