Job Description:
The Senior Help Desk Support Engineer sets up, configures, and
supports computing devices and networks. This role develops and
maintains all systems, applications, security, and network
configurations; troubleshoots network performance issues and
maintains a disaster recovery plan; recommends upgrades, patches,
and new applications and equipment. This role also provides
technical support and guidance to users.
Position Essential Functions:
Run network operations checklist for each period (Daily Yearly)
Utilize imaging and automation tools for desktop/laptop
configuration and deployment
Prioritize and address daily desktop/systems support issues through
internal helpdesk ticketing system
Install configure and support computing and network infrastructure
components
Maintain active directory security via administration of user
access, adds, moves and changes
Maintain email system(s) via administration of user access, adds,
moves and changes
Maintain voice systems via administration of user access, adds,
moves and changes
Plan, promote, layout and execute IT special projects as
assigned
Update systems and network documentation
Refresh and maintain applications software and security posture
Position Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of Associate s Degree 2-4 years relevant
experience; Bachelor s Degree is preferred.
Must be familiar with network and computing terminology and design
(2-4 years)
Must be familiar with software installation configuration and
support (2-4 years)
Knowledge of network administration, user management, security and
access control (1-3 years)
Knowledge of email administration, routing, protocols and records
setup (1-3 years)
Knowledge of IP networks, submitting, protocols and routing (2-4
years)
Familiarity with disk imaging and disk imaging concepts
Knowledge of project management concepts
Knowledge of network services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS,
certificates, VPNs, tokens etc.
Knowledge of web hosting setup including DNS records, SFTP and site
administration
