  • Description of the Building SegmentsThe Building Segments is one of the 8 global sector teams at Schneider Electric and drives c. -€2bn of orders annually. The Sector teams contribute to the group's agenda on superior growth, digital / software / services, and sustainability. They deliver their mission by (i) acting as the trusted technology partner to the Group's global strategic accounts in each of the 8 sectors (ii) creating differentiation for the Group through innovation & solution leadership and (iii) nurturing the sector expertise by developing trainings & thought leadership for internal and external use.The Building Segments team leverages all Schneider Electric technologies to make Building Portfolios, Building Assets and Spaces we live in everyday more Sustainable, Efficient, Resilient and People-Centric. The team delivers this value proposition across 5 practices: Healthcare, Hotel, Retail, Real Estate and Design Firms with demand generation objectives (orders). The Building Segments organization functionally reports into Digital Energy, a division of the Energy Management Business of Schneider Electric, yet its scope is global and not limited to Digital Energy technologies.
  • Description of the Retail Segment practiceThe Retail Segment practice encompasses 4 main activities:
  • Define and develop the 3-year strategic plan for Retail
  • Drive double digit growth with global/strategic Retail customers & the total Retail segment globally
  • Develop and promote the unique value proposition of the Retail segment including documented architectures combining offers from all Schneider Electric lines of business
  • Collaborate and animate the country Retail Segment teams incl. resources mapping, coaching, and upskilling
  • Description of the role & responsibilities of the Regional Segment Leader for NAMThe Regional Segment Leader animates and ensures profitable growth of the Retail Segment business in NAM (USA, Canada, Mexico), including all necessary actions to ensure that success is there.The Retail Regional Segment Leader is a highly motivated candidate with multiple responsibilities, that include:
    • Building a long-term strategy on the region (from Account selection to account engagement all the way to GTM tactics) and leveraging all possible actions to reach their Orders targets
    • Developing a network internally and into customers environment and build a long-term partnership with multiple stakeholders in the customers' organizations, aligned with the strategy.
    • Animating a community of relevant people internally at Schneider Electric to ensure that the identified accounts are well supported to maximize business.
    • Reporting to senior level management in Schneider Electric during the Quarterly Business Reviews
    • Briefing Schneider Electric Senior Executives in case of C-level meetings.
    • Requirements for the role
      • Excellent customer relationship skills. Ability to create relationships quickly across customers' organizations
      • Strong capacity to foster collaboration & networking, and work transversally across the organization
      • Organization and project management skills; structured way of working; Good attention to detail
      • Strong analytical skills: ability to screen and quickly absorb information on various topics from multiple sources and synthesize it to make meaningful recommendations
      • Financially literate: able to review and interpret financial statements / reports
      • International, multi-cultural mind-set and approach
      • Business Developer - Resourceful and self-starter attitude, interest to roll-up one sleeves, get things done and push the organization to deliver
      • Team Player - Passionate and dynamic professional with the energy and ability to build trust and foster collaboration across a complex matrix environment; Collaborative team-oriented style
        • Role Model - Demonstrates strong personal leadership in line with Schneider Electric values
        • Candidates qualifications
          • Work experience:
            • Extensive sales & account management experience
            • Proven success in growth & strategy development
            • Indirect or direct people management
            • Market: experience in the Retail sector and/or channel management in the US is a strong plus
            • Education: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree is a plus
            • Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English; Any other language is a plus.
            • Other: excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills, and presentation writing skills
            • Other information on the role
              • Location: position based in the USA, East Coast. Preference to be based in Boston or Chicago.
              • Travel: In a regular year, this position would travel at least twice a month.
