Job Description:
Principal Associate Scientist / Scientist, Immunology Discovery
ResearchCambridge, MAGeneration Bio is a biotechnology company
changing what is possible for people living with T cell-driven
autoimmune diseases. The company is developing novel therapeutics
leveraging its T cell selective cell-targeted lipid nanoparticle
(ctLNP) to deliver siRNA in vivo, enabling modulation of T cell
activity that causes inflammation and auto-reactive tissue
destruction. By selectively modulating T cells that drive disease
pathology, ctLNP-siRNA therapeutics could potently block target
function with sequence-level specificity while sparing the broader
immune system. This potent new modality is designed to reach
targets that are poorly drugged by other approaches, opening a
broad indication space of T cell driven autoimmune diseases. We are
a thriving, collaborative, creative community of 100 people with
diverse talents, beliefs, and experiences headquartered in
Cambridge, Massachusetts.Generation Bio is seeking an energetic and
highly motivated Principal Associate Scientist / Scientist to join
the Immunology team within the Discovery Research group. The
position will play a key role in evaluating our cell targeted lipid
nanoparticle (ctLNP) delivery platform by designing, executing, and
analyzing in vitro assays aimed at evaluating ctLNPs interacting
with immune cells. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in cell-based assays (such as but not limited to
experience isolating and maintaining primary immune cells, T cell
activation/differentiation assays, and flow cytometry).
Responsibilities will also include cross-functional research to
enable early program development.RESPONSIBILITIES:
