Job Overview - Senior Tax Associate:Our trusted client is
seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join their growing
team in Boston, MA. This hybrid role is essential in assisting with
all areas of the tax function, including compliance, planning,
governance, and stakeholder management.Location: Boston,
MACompensation: $90,000 - $110,000/year + bonusSchedule: 9:00 AM to
5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)Responsibilities as the Senior
Tax Associate:
- Tax Compliance:
- Coordinate inputs for consolidated US federal, state, and local
income tax returns.
- Manage state and local tax notices, providing analysis and
resolutions.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of tax ledger accounts.
- Manage sales and use tax compliance processes.
- Tax Governance:
- Implement a global tax operating model and establish best
practices.
- Document tax procedures and drive continuous improvements.
- Tax Planning:
- Create and analyze tax models for optimal positions.
- Research tax-efficient restructurings and assist with global
transfer pricing.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Prepare internal reporting and build tax resource materials for
Partners and Directors.
- Assist with global tracking of tax attributes and partner tax
basis.
- Collaborate with HR and finance on tax support
initiatives.Qualifications for the Senior Tax Associate:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting; advanced degree
(e.g., Masters in Taxation, JD with tax focus) and/or CPA strongly
preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in corporate and partnership
taxation, with exposure to state and local, indirect, and
international compliance issues.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of US GAAP and tax
accounting for various entity types, broad understanding of
international tax structuring and compliance.
- Attributes: Ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly,
strong relationship and interpersonal skills, excellent writing,
communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical
skills.
